Bo's First time up the Incline
Bo and Mrs. L at the top! He totally smoked me- practically dragged both of us up the mountain
Mr. L and Mr. Bo half way up! Funny story-- it started to rain as we got to the top and started the trek down on the 3.5 mile trail, and a few steps later it was an all out downpour and hailstorm. We were miserable but Bo was leading the way... I see what they mean about "hearty and rugged" as a description for his breed!

Just Because...
I haven't posted anything about our little man in a while... Isn't he handsome? Getting big... and smart. I have never seen such a smart and sweet dog EVER! I might be a bit biased though...

Our Easter Bunny Cake

The INCLINE

We did it!
Way more fun to see where you've been than where you still have to go!
Steeeeeep! At it's steepest, the incline is a 68% grade!
It's .8 mile up, but it ascends 2500 feet. Crazy!
It's technically a de-commissoned Cog Railroad and is "technically" private property. Tell that to the thousands of hikers who frequent it!
Still Smiling! It took us (well me, I was the hold-up) 1 hour and 14 minutes to make it up, and about 45 minutes to get down the 4-mile trail that zig-zags down the mountain. I'm up for going again soon!
Garage Sale Find!
Solid wood frame and backing, metal flower design. LOVE it! And it was only $25! I unscrewed the back and was able to take it apart to clean the glass behind the design. Not sure where it will go yet-- maybe in the new basement?

Forgot!
In front of the restaurant, there are these paw prints. For those Lady and the Tramp aficionados out there, the pair made these in the movie in wet cement when they were on their "date." Love it!

Tony's is in the Magic Kingdom-- it's the Italian restaurant in the Lady and the Tramp movie :) Since it was our wedding cake topper and first date, we told the waitress and she surprised us with Lady and the Tramp stuffed animals, from "Tony!" So much fun...

Bad Blogger, Bad!
Sorry guys! I've been pretty busy! Wings has gotten some great sponsorships as a result though! We are close to reaching our goals for this year's conference.
I am soon-to-be a certified Cycle Instructor! I got certified through AAAI-ISMA- they had a certification weekend here in town. It was too easy. I say soon-to-be because I'm still waiting on the official paperwork to come in... I went to a tryout at VillaSport, which is a swanky club on the North end of town, but I'm also working with the director of group fitness on post who is letting me teach bits of her classes to get me ready to take over for her in July. That one may be the better option since it's so much closer... But it's fun because I get to do what I love, get a workout, and get paid! Sweet!
Mr. L and I are going on a fun getaway pretty soon. We are headed to Orlando Florida for a few days to getaway, relax, and spend some time together and with his family. I'll post some pictures of our trip when we get back, so be on the lookout for them!
I'm also really ready for Spring. It has been cold cold cold since I moved here in September-- it's crazy that they basically have 7 months out of the year of winter. While it's beautiful, my Aunt Joanne was right when she said I would get tired of it. Bring on the sunshine!
Of course I can't make a post without mentioning Little Bo. He passed his Intermediate Puppy Class at Petsmart, and is two skills away from passing Advanced. We should have already finished, but the two skills are pretty tough for him. Walking on a loose leash in a heel position, self-correcting by only my command. Hard for an excited puppy! The other skill, which he's much better at, is not barking and getting excited at other dogs. He acts all aggressive but really he just wants to play! He's totally fine when we have puppy play dates with friends, but if we are at the dog park or in PetSmart, all he wants to do is bark. If we can master those two things, we will pass advanced training and be ready to take the AKC Good Citizen test. Also pretty tough, but we think our little man can handle it!
Daylight savings has saved me. Bo's favorite thing to do is jump on the bed and lick me to death at 6:30 am, every day, on the spot. Now that it's a little darker in the mornings, he is sleeping until his daddy comes home from PT, around 7:30-8:00! That's a much more human time to be awake, I think. I'm loving it!
I should have some photos soon- I need to download my camera, do some backups, and get it ready for the trip. So be on the lookout for those!!

God Strong
Ok this is a plug for an AWESOME book by Sara Horn, called God Strong. It's a survival guide for the military spouse, and it features a "Survival Sisters" story inside by yours truly :) Check out the link above and check out her book...
