Photo time! We had a great getaway and some nice family time with Mr. and Mrs. R and her family. Mr. L played some golf, we soaked up some sun and had a nice breather of a weekend!

On Mr. L's last night before Ranger school, we celebrated Bo's 2nd birthday! His cake had whole wheat flour, peanut butter, an egg, some oil, and a little honey (of course Mr. L baked it!). It was pretty gross but he was excited! We topped it with peanut butter and of course some Pup-Peroni to spell out Happy Birthday! We made a cake for ourselves too :)

I had Portillo's Hot Dogs shipped in from Chicago-- they are Mr. L's favorite!! Every time we fly into town, the first stop off the plane is Portillos! He was totally surprised :)
Mr. L and the cake he made. Yes, he made it. I totally offered but he said he couldn't risk having a messed up cake!! So I bowed out gracefully and let him bake away.
I think Bo thought he was going to get some cake... He did get a frosty paws though!

Mr. L made his annual bunny cake and they keep getting better! This year he piped on all the bunny fur and made my new favorite, almond icing. I apologize for all the cell phone pictures- It seems I can get better photos on my camera phone these days. They are clearer and and my phone is usually more easily accessible. My desktop computer is also out of commission... the logic board went bad so we are in the process of figuring out when to order a new one. Luckily the new iMacs just came out :) ANYway that was a total tangent. Easter was really great this year-- we went to the church we've been attending here (http://www.mychurchcolumbus.com/) and had a fantastic brunch with some friends.
The temperatures here hover around 95 degrees every day, so we have to wait until after 7 in the evening to go for our walkies. Lots of panting and this pose on the kitchen floor always follow. I am impressed though with how well he's done. We consistently walk 2 miles every day, even in the blistering heat and he still loves it. He's only stopped on me a few times.
Helping me make the bed... I swear he's like his cousin Shadow. Every time the sheets come out all fresh and clean, he has to be between them and it's a chore to get him off the bed!!
And this one is just because :) Because he's so handsome and because this shot, from a ride in the car, doesn't happen often in the summer. My car is well over 100 degrees inside and it takes it too long to cool off for him. So summer car rides are on a need-to basis. We've also been to the vet a few times over the past few weeks. Mr. Bo decided to steal some of my chicken wing bones from my plate and so in we went for x-rays. He was totally fine and ended up passing them without any troubles. The latest malady was a healthy case of tapeworms. Yum. He's fine now though. Gotta love my little man!!
