More Projects :)

My favorite project... my deployment present from my sweet Mr. L. So fun!! I had no idea this thing would be literally glued to my hands I use it so much...
Pin-spiration :) Leftover fabric from my custom table runner made by momma and some red paint :)
Saw the "L" on Pinterest, then raided my Mom's button bin... Oh and borrowed a glue gun!
Table top! the outside pieces were napkins on clearance at Pier 1, and I wanted the chevron fabric so bad!! The table is still a work in progress. Plans are to refinish the top with a dark stain and paint/distress the chairs and table legs. Still deciding on a color. SO glad my mom is a seamstress!!

This is how I roll...

Backstage meet and greet. Yes, he is as sweet and cute in person as on TV!!

P.S.

LOVE this new template!!

Projects of all kinds

Craigslist find for only $60!! I wanted to paint it and be all fancy pants with it but I found out it's worth quite a bit more than I paid so it's getting left alone!
New rug!! This project is ongoing... I have turned the big wall into a gallery wall with more fun pieces and pin-spired art :) More posts on that soon.
New rug in the sunroom too. But this one is a remnant from a local store. Super cheap. But Bo sure likes it!
Big project here... switching over my certification from BTS to Les Mills. Finally finished all my filming though!! Here's proof and quite a nice shot I might add from my Body Flow filming.
 Target curtains!
The chair I acquired when I was rummaging in my family's stuff at home
This is a project, right?? Snuggling with my boy!!
Two things here... first things first. I discovered Instagram. I had no idea they had it for Android and I LOVE it!! I got this table for $10 at a rummage place with tons of furniture. Had to talk them down from $18. Got a sample can of paint from Lowes and voila! I wanted to try out the grey too... I have a bookshelf that will get painted this color and I'm debating doing my dining room table legs and chairs in this too and distressing them for a shabby look. but this first attempt was a success!!

Sea World and Scotty

 Sisters!
 The first show... Dolphins!!
This one was funny... she refused to go back in the holding tank because she was too excited to be out in the arena. They totally stopped the show until she went back in...
And the teenage frenzy begins. See Scotty coming out??
Yep, VIPs sit this close :)
That's my sisters friend on guitar, front left. He got us the park passes, VIP seats, and a meet and greet with Scotty!
Too cute ;) I will upload the photo I got when him as soon as I find it...
Scotty's bass guitar player ;) Our Nashville connection!
Of course Shamu was the real show! We went and caught him before we left the park to head back to Ft. Lauderdale.
Finale!

We couldn't go to Florida and not make the drive up to Sea World when we had an opportunity like this one!!  It was so much fun and totally worth the trip!

Ft. Lauderdale... SPRING BREAK!!!

Sake, Sake, Sake, BOMB!!! At Tap & Cork
Enjoying the nightlife. It was at least midnight and it was a ghost town. Apparently party people in south Florida don't go out until 1 in the morning and don't go home until like 6am. It's a crazy life!
We Are Here!! Famous family photo pose :) This is Max, our cousin, who we stayed with.
 Ah...
Looking like respectable spring breakers :) SPRING BREAK!!!

Since I never actually had a spring break, I figured why not! Mr. L had just left for Afghanistan and my sister needed somebody to go with. We had a free place to stay and a week to lay on the beach. Fabulous. Don't mind if I do!

MIA

So I know I have been MIA. Mr. L is deployed and I have been traveling and keeping myself busy. But more posts to come, Promise.

Photo Shoot!

He sits in our sunroom with his head on the step up and uses it as a pillow... too funny. This is the spot where I found him so I pulled out the fun new camera.
This was the final shot... looking pretty pooped after a busy day!
And a mid-way down shot. I know I always post photos of him but I wanted to play :) I love this lighting though... will have to remember this time of day.

Pinterest Find!

Do you see any cables? NO YOU DON'T!
For a $9 basket from Michaels, our cables are all hidden! The only one you see in the top picture is the HDMI cable connecting to Mr. L's laptop, which isn't a permanent cable. Thanks Pinterest!

Congrats, MR. C!!

Cutting the cake with a saber. Of course.
Flag to sign
Yummy cake!!
Yay!! Unfortunately we didn't get a photo with the man of the hour :( He is Mr. L's college professor and long time mentor. He retired after 25 years and of course we had to be there to celebrate!! Can't call him a Major anymore... he's a Mr. from here on out!

Inside the Broadmoor

I know these are kind of random and in no particular order, but here's the 5 piece bath...
Bed after turn-down service. You can see the window that opens up to the bathroom. P.S. Can you SEE that flat screen in the bathroom?!?! It was one of 3 we had in the room.
We have a fire-place, dahling ;)
The bed all made up.

Coffee nook
Another view of the bathroom.
The lobby to our building, the South Tower. I didn't get any photos of the main hotel, but if you go on their website you can see the crazy-ness. I'm talking mosaic tiles on the floors and ceilings, marble, statues, art, and pretty much the most opulent place you could imagine. It's like being in a palace or something. Mr. L surprised me and it was such a treat!!

Feels like home...

The view from our hotel, the Broadmoor. It's the only 5-Star, 5-Diamond hotel in the country!! Check it out here: http://www.broadmoor.com/
Cheyenne Mountain looking pretty foggy and romantic-y.
The kissing camels. Do you see them?
Ahhhh...

Mr. L and I went back to the springs to visit/celebrate with his long time mentor and teacher from college who retired from the Army. We had some time for sight-seeing and I ended up staying longer to visit my friends. Such a great getaway!!

Part of the Rangers In Action Demonstration
YAY!!!
Part of the demonstration. Yes, they actually had to do this in Ranger School
Notice the line of 4 guys hanging from the helicopter
Belaying
Cake made by me :)
Yep, they had to do this too!

We were all so proud of Mr. L! He failed the 12 mile road march his first try, then went back a second time and went straight through with no recycyles! Yayo!!!
