Cute, right?

Tobacco Basket!

Ok I know I've been MIA but FINALLY I have something I'm excited to blog about! I've been enamored with these lovelies called Tobacco Baskets I saw in a design on HGTV. I had no idea what the thing was other than the fact that it was gorgeous hung above a fireplace on a show, I believe it was an episode of Property Brothers. So I get to googling and find out that they are called Tobacco Baskets and they are pretty dang expensive. Everywhere I found them had pretty hefty price tags. So I resigned to the fact that it would be one of those things I would look for and hopefully, one day, in my dreams, find one at a price I could afford. So I see one on eBay listed for $189 or best offer. AND the guy was located nearby. So through (illegal ebay messages) a few chats later I was meeting him at his shop in town. He was late and I actually didn't like the ones he had but another booth had one. FOR $30. Can you feel my enthusiasm? Seriously it was like I'd won the lottery. Here's my beauty of a find:

I feel like a true Carolina girl now!! You can read more about them here:

It's Electrofying!

Happy Halloween!!

Mr. L and I went to his boss' Halloween party last night... While I got a lot of pretty compromising photos of his peers and of course his boss, I cannot post them for obvious reasons ;) But let's just say it was EPIC!

P.S. I was an outlet and Mr. L was the plug in case you were wondering. Oh yeah and I had crazy stick-your-finger-in-the-socket hair!

Doug DeVos and Rich VanAndle, Amway's founders
 The original Nutrilite sales kit
First Multivitamin ever developed, by a prisoner who knew he wasn't getting the nutrients he needed
 The original business plan
Parts of the plant we got to see... bottle production and of course a drink machine filled with Amway products! I couldn't take any photos of the actual production area because we weren't allowed but it was super cool!
Of course, Amway soap in all the bathrooms
A feature wall of our fearless leaders, Terry and Lorri Taylor greeted us as we walked in the main lobby
Display of current products

The Taylor Team had a leadership in Ada, Michigan at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel. We got an amazing weekend of teaching and leadership as well as a tour of the Amway facilities. Totally an incredible experience for somebody like me who grew up in a family building a successful Amway business.
